Are you a United Kingdom citizen and a victim of the cruise line industry, whether a passenger, ship’s officer, crewmember or shore side employee? If so then please contact me at Ask Mike and give a brief outline of your particular case.
As always, all information will be treated in the strictest confidence and which I would then pass onto the BBC reporter heading up the current research into this documentary which would be shown later this year? Albeit specifically focused on UK nationals, victims from Europe may also be of interest to them.
Naturally if you are currently engaged in legal proceedings against a cruise operator then you would need to consult with your legal team first and foremost, to ensure they are happy for you to take part? Hopefully there will be many out there who like me beat the industry and also refused to be gagged by them.
A I understand the BBC is not categorizing what a victim is, so no matter you may have suffered an assault, injury, illness, infection or you’re a family member of a victim of crime – murder, rape, sexual assault or lost at sea, then please feel free to write to me.
The BBC will not publicly canvass for people until all other means have failed so this request comes directly from me and not the BBC, I doing this because I feel such a documentary would be a very important milestone in the United Kingdom and one which would give a fair account of the industry’s conduct towards their victims.
Thank you
Mike
