What also of the call over the emergency radio, a frequency well known to all other shipping and which can easily be overheard by vessels within range of this powerful VHS system. And then there is the matter of the Coral Princess launching rescue craft – where, when, how and at what precise time? Are there any passengers or crew who saw these boats being launched?
And for me the main concern is the night time illumination flare ripped from a missing life preserver and located on board. Are we to seriously believe that a man, ‘possibly’ intent to end his own life takes with him a life preserver? That he also goes so far as to rip off the ‘light’ during the hours of daylight after evading the ships CCTV camera’s for 12 hours, if we are to assume that he was in actual fact last seen at 8:15am on the Thursday morning? And if he jumped into the water the previous evening, then why would he be bothered to take with him a life preserver anyway?
I fear Angelo was a victim of foul play during Wednesday evening and possibly in panic, in a moment of doubt, someone then threw over the life preserver but at the same time ripped off the ‘night light’ should it’s very activation draw attention too quickly? Maybe a third party knew they needed time to get themselves a good alibi yet wanted to give as much assistance as possible to Angelo?
To be honest in some respects it is not wise to speculate, but the Faliva family discount suicide as a motive, they also feel "there was an accident or a homicide" and so do I. It just reeks of homicide!
Bagged & Tagged is police terminology for when items are placed into forensic bags which are often made from clear plastic or paper. This ideally prevents cross contamination of any recovered items and further ensures DNA or other ‘foreign bodies of interest’ remain intact. These will then be accompanied with an exhibit label for continuity purposes.
