Welcome to Miami. Bienvenido a Miami. The Port of Miami, that is. This
world-class port holds the title of the Cruise Capital of the World and
the Cargo Gateway of the Americas. It is not only the largest cruise port
in the Western Hemisphere but it also wears the tiara for the largest port
in the entire world. Always innovative and preparing for the next
generation of cruise vessels to come, the modern Passenger Terminals D and
E have some of the most advanced amenities found on this globe. Like the
ones found in airports, the ticketing counters and conveyor baggage system
offers convenience for passengers. High tech security screening and a
single-stop federal multi-agency facility allows for easy passenger
processing.

The port is situated in glamorous and bustling Miami which is surrounded by the blue, blue waters that has lured many from around the world. With a backdrop of Miami's skyline, it's tough to decide which is more dazzling--the enormous cruise ships, the towering buildings on a sliver of islands, or nature's brilliant masterpiece of the contrasting colors of sea, sand, and sky. Her variety of cruise lines are just as eclectic, glamorous, and exciting as the city and beaches of Miami and its surroundings.
A place where the rich and famous come to play and a location where the rest of us come to watch and enjoy. The world's largest vessels and most exciting itineraries start here.
In fact, the Oasis of the Seas, the largest cruise liner known to mankind (five times the size of the Titanic!) makes her home here when she's not island hopping through the Caribbean. This enormous vessel provides ultra luxury and fun for 6000 passengers. She is so big that within, she has neighborhoods. There are seven themed neighbors with names such as Central Park, The Boardwalk, and Royal Promenade.

Not only do ships travel to the Caribbean islands, they also set sail into
the blue yonder to distant Europe. There are plenty of day cruises from
this port too. Hopping aboard one of these day cruises will take you to
Millionaires Row, a hangout fave for top celebrities. Movie locations for
The Addams Family and Scarface (just to name a couple) can be seen as well
as the homes of Al Capone, Gloria Estefan, and Julio Iglesias. Although

The Port of Miami and the city of Miami has everything. Whether you want to take your family on an affordable cruise to nearby yet exotic Bahamas or wine and dine solo on a luxury liner to the Mediterranean, it's here in Miami. Whether you're here to shop for the latest designer fashions in unique world class boutiques and ready to drop three months' salary on a sequined-studded bra or to take home loads of fashion buys, it's here in Miami. Whether you long for a Coney Island hot dog from a vendor right on the street ... umm, I mean, the sand or dine on caviar and champagne from the top of a resort overlooking the glistening city on the ocean, it's all here in Miami.
The Port of Miami is dripping with glamour, movie stars, and money (even South Beach has a runway on the sand so that you don't get sand in your stilletos!) she has not lost let this go to her head. Fashionable and cultured, this sparkling is no NYC.
There is no living life on a New York minute because it's still island time here. Coconut palms sway in the island breeze and locals and tourist laze over outdoor meals as joggers pass by along the beach's boardwalk.
